Upon successful completion candidates will receive an in-house CMT certificate which will be valid for three years

Who Attends?
Those who frequently use ladders & stepladders in the course of their daily duties
The Aim?
The Work at Height Regulations 2005 requires that ladder users must possess such technical knowledge, experience or training as may be appropriate, having regard to the nature of the activity, or be supervised by such a person. The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 require that user of work equipment receive “adequate” training. The aim of this course is to train people in the skills and knowledge needed to achieve the standards of competency to carry out the duties of pre-use inspection and the safe use of ladders and stepladders.

Training Activity:

Slide led – trainer providing information and asking questions
An individual questionnaire on safe and effective use of Ladders & Stepladders
Assessment Process

There are assessment activities:

Multiple Choice Questions
Ladder & Stepladders fault finding
Carrying, positioning & ladders and stepladders

Half Day Training

Certification
