Course Details

Who Attends?

For people working in or at confined spaces where work has been assessed and classified as Low Risk and who require pre-assessment training to prepare them for assessment.

The Aim?
Working in confined spaces exposes an individual to a range of potential hazards, some of which may threaten injury and, in some instances may possibly lead to death.
Therefore specialist training and assessment is required to equip those undertaking this type of work with the necessary skills and competencies to assess risk, control hazards and work safely.
This course is about entering and working in a low-risk environment with adequate natural or mechanical ventilation.
The access appears simple and unobstructed and there is no likely risk of flooding (for example meter pits, valve chambers; stairwells).
Low Risk confined spaces could be associated with lone working requiring the application of appropriate procedures.

What Our Customers Are Saying

Don’t just take it from us, let our customers do the talking!

“Excellent customer service, extremely knowledgeable and really helpful in responding to training queries. We would definitely recommend CMT” Marie, Riteweld Engineering

“I was on the HSA(+1) course yesterday at Fulbourn (nr Cambridge) and wanted to send an email praising our instructor.

It wasn’t a course that I was heading to with much excitement to be honest, however….. out of all the courses I have been on over the last 18 years, Your’s was by far the most enjoyable.

Factual, fun, and well delivered.

I will pass my recommendations on and will look forward to coming back one day for another course.

Keep up the great work.”

Adam, DSEI

“The training went very well, at a good steady pace throughout. I had excellent support which without I wouldn’t have got through the course. On various courses with different training providers, I never got this level of support throughout and even felt neglected at times.

The Fulbourn centre has excellent facilities which were great to learn and develop in.”
